My name is Nick Panayis, and I’ve been in the hospitality business a long time…a really long time. I’ve worked everywhere, from hotels to gourmet restaurants, but working in the fish and chip business has always been something I’ve enjoyed. So, when the time was right, I opened up Nick’s Plaice with one goal in mind–to be the best fish & chip takeaway in England.
To be the best, you have to provide the best product. At Nick’s Plaice, we only serve the freshest, and highest quality food. We make our own tartar and curry sauces, use 100% vegetable oil that is changed regularly, purchase premimum potatoes from Lincolnshire, and finest fish from Grimsby.
When you visit Nick’s Plaice, it’s like walking into an old 1950’s diner. From chrome plated furnishings, to enough neon to give Vegas a run for its money, Nick’s Plaice is truly a fish and chip shop like no other.
It’s been several years now since Nick’s Plaice has opened, and we’re proud to say that we are well on our way to achieving our goal of becoming Britain’s best. There’s still much to learn and do, but we’re getting better every day thanks to you, our loyal customers.
